There are 2 farming systems in WA, irrigated which has ready access to water and what is called dry land farming which relys on the natural rain fall. WA was not affected by the drought as was eastern australia but as a result grain prices rose. Last year was a record season while this year the rain is a little late but the first falls have arrived today. Approximately 1 month late.
