Desal plant locks us into high impact water futures The announcement by the Brumby Government of the desalination plant proponents will lock Victoria into a high emissions, high impact water future. The government has had ample opportunities to choose another, lower impact option for meeting our future water needs, and there is growing public sentiment against both the current proposals for the desalination plant and North South pipeline. I never got to thank him for doing it but it really means a lot to me. I really took that farm for granted and i do wish i had appreciated it more. we sold this farm in 2004

The Bald Hills Wind Farm has received planning approval from the Victorian Government and approval from the Federal Government under the Environmental Protection . The bald hills wind turbines are to be as high as the sydney harbour bridge I support renewable energy over coal and nuclear electricity generation.”But renewables should be build in the right place just like the Wonthaggi Desalination Plant , In coastal areas of great beauty and fairly high population and a lot of tourism potential we believe that’s not necessarily the way to go unless that’s what the community wants , The Victorian election in November

PLANNING Minister Justin Madden is facing a legal challenge to his approval of taller turbines at a controversial South Gippsland wind farm. There are about 20 homes less than 1km away . Japanese company Mitsui is preparing to build the 52 turbine Bald Hills Wind Farm 10km south east of Tarwin Lower.. Premier John Brumby and Environment Minister Gavin Jennings accused the Coalition of spruiking “anti renewable energy” policies that jeopardised “billions of dollars of investment in wind farms and thousands of jobs”. Turbines aren’t welcome in your area , South Gippsland has a desalination plant and now more wind farms thanks Planning Minister Windfarms are noisy neighbours. No one wants them anywhere near their home.The brumby governement has done nothing to help rural people having these developments put to close to their homes and farms

This is the great 2 year old racehorse Arjuna in his powerful first ever win 26th April 2008 at Eagle Farm race track in Brisbane. Arjuna wins by almost 2 lengths of Rockdale who 5 weeks later wins a Group 1 race at the same track were Arjuna also was nominated but sadly had to scratch him after a minor self created injury while in his paddock a few nights before race day..
